Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles

Explore the theoretical and practical skills needed to pursue a career in the automotive industry. This course will introduce students to routine vehicle inspection, fitting, maintenance, diagnostic and rectification activities.

You will gain a broad knowledge and understanding of routine maintenance and repair activities in a workshop environment.

Throughout the course you will:

• Learn how to repair a broad range of vehicle systems using the latest computer-aided diagnosis and scanning equipment and hybrid vehicle training rigs
• Gain experience in agreeing customer needs and other employability skills
• Carry out diagnostics on a range of modern vehicles

All training and assessment are carried out by automotive industry-trained and certified practitioners.

You will learn through practical lessons in the workshops. Assessment will be through practical observations, written work and exams.

On successful completion you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to seek employment within the industry.
