General Sixth Form Entry Requirements: - Minimum 4 GCSE passes at Grade 4 and above to study BTEC or vocational courses; 5 GCSE passes at 4 and above to study A level/BTEC combination; 5 GCSE's at Grades 5 and above to study straight A Levels.

Course Details
A two year course which includes the completion of 4 units:
Mandatory Units – 3 units
• Unit One - Exploring Business

Learners will study the purposes of different businesses, their structures and the effects that the external environment will have on them and how they need to be innovative in order to survive.

• Unit Two – Developing a Marketing Campaign

Learners will gain understanding and the skills that are required in how to fully develop a marketing campaign.

• Unit Three - Personal and Business Finance

Learners will study the purpose and importance of both personal finance and business finance. They will develop the skills required to prepare and analyse financial and accounting information.

Optional Unit - 1 unit taken from the choice of:
• Recruitment and Selection Process
• Investigating Customer Service
• Market Research
• The English Legal System
• Work Experience in Business
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Unit One – Set and assessed internally by means of student produced, portfolio of work.
Unit Two – Assessed by means of student produced portfolio task that is externally set and assessed by Pearson, in exam controlled conditions.
Unit Three - Assessed by a written exam that is externally set and assessed by Pearson
Optional Unit - Set and assessed internally by means of student produced, portfolio of work.
All units are weighted equally and carry 25% each
Entry requirements
4 GCSEs at grade 9-4 or equivalent including English and Mathematics
