About us

16-18s Study Programme

Duration: 11 Months

Our training equips young people who are not quite ready for work, an apprenticeship or academic study with the skills they need to move forward in their careers and lives.

Learners are able to gain valuable qualifications and are supported to access work experience opportunities. We coach learners to be their best selves when being interviewed and help them secure employment with respected companies in the sector of their choice.

Application Instructions

Get in touch via the JGA website to enquire about joining the programme or to discuss eligibility and local centre availability.

Go to our website at: https://www.jga-group.com/16-18s-provision and complete the "Get in touch to find out more" form on the right-hand side with your details.

Student support

Maths and English

No matter which Study Programme pathway is chosen, at JGA we prepare young learners for the maths and English qualifications needed for future employment (up to equivalent GCSE grade 4).

All courses include maths and English functional skills from entry level 3 to level 2. We offer learning in small groups, 1-2-1 specialist support and a digital learning platform which enables learners and their parents to track their progress.

For learners who have achieved a GCSE grade 3 in either maths or English, we will fund a GCSE retake, giving learners an opportunity to achieve a grade 4 (standard pass = C).

What makes us different?

It’s not like school, delivery takes place in relatively informal, uncrowded environments with small groups and 1-2-1 support available.

Training is funded by the Department for Education and qualifications are at level 2 (equivalent to GCSEs) or level 3 (equivalent to A-Levels).

Transport

Accessibility and hardship support

All our venues in Dartford, Gravesend, Medway and Maidstone are accessible by bus, train or on foot, making it easier for learners to attend regularly. Hardship funding to assist with costs is available upon request and successful application if you qualify once enrolled, helping to remove financial barriers to participation.
