About us

Welcome to Fulston Manor School

About us

Fulston Manor School is built upon Family Value; Fortitude, Ambition, Mindfulness, Integrity, Leadership and enabling our students to become amazing Young Citizens. These values are imbedded into everyday life at the school and we welcome you to apply to be part of our Fulston Family. We have a wide ranging offer of subjects at our school and incredible facilities.

An enduring Sixth Form partnership with local grammar schools helps to ensure the broadest possible range of “A” Level courses from which to choose. With over 50% students going on to higher education this year, success rates are very high and demonstrate the truth behind the assertion that time spent at Fulston Manor is time well spent.

Sixth Form students are encouraged to contribute fully to the life of the school, through volunteering and community work, in addition to their academic studies. Students have the opportunity to participate in social events such as the annual Christmas Dinner and Summer Ball, both of which are arranged by the Sixth Form Social Committee. Every November we also run a 'Stayawake' to raise money for charity which, having been taking place for more than 15 years now, has become a central part of the cultural life of the school.

What makes us different?

Facilities available

Post 16 provision is excellent. A high quality Sixth Form Centre, reconstructed in 2015 to include internet café, social area and well equipped I.T. and study facilities, forms the base for students.

Additionally, students have access to a careers guidance specialist based in the Sixth Form Centre, together with a dedicated mentor team to assist students when difficulties arise.

The Sixth Form pastoral team are based in the Sixth Form Centre and are on hand throughout the day for students to access. All students are placed into a Sixth Form only tutor group, and the relationship between the tutor and tutee is one of support and encouragement.
