Additional support

All students at Invicta Grammar School have equal access to the extensive curriculum. This enables all students to make progress in line with their academic potential. The school makes use of a wide number of funding strands in order to ensure that students are also able to be involved in a range of extra-curricular activities and can take advantage of the additional opportunities available to the students and their families.

Our approach to students includes three key aspects: Care, Education and Opportunities.

Our primary aim at Invicta is to ensure our girls are happy. This will enable them to be self-confident, inquiring, tolerant, and positive with well-rounded characters; and have independent minds, which respects the differences of others. By the time our girls leave Invicta, they will further develop a true sense of self-worth that will enable them to stand up for themselves and for a purpose greater than themselves, and, in doing so, to be of value to society. Nurturing individuality and yet understanding and appreciating the differences of others is central to Invicta's philosophy. This is achieved through an extensive system of support, guidance and care.

At Invicta Grammar School we also recognise the importance of excellent academic results. However, we believe that for our girls to be successful and happy in this challenging and competitive world it is also necessary for them to be equipped with more than good results. Our students need to be creative, to work cooperatively, and to have highly developed personal and social skills.

Invicta Grammar School provides a rich programme of opportunities aimed at giving girls diverse and exciting experiences that enable them to be 'rounded' and enthused about the world they live in. Confidence, enterprise, creativity and internationalism are developed through projects of leadership, community and enterprise, societies, visits and extended learning. The importance of participation in these opportunities makes school life about more than examination success; meeting new people, gaining skills, employability, following a passion, discovering a passion and having something to talk about.
