About us

Specialist Beauty Therapy Training for Young People, Including Learners with SEND and EHCPs

Prestige Beauty Academy is a specialist beauty training academy based in Faversham, Kent, offering practical, supportive and industry-focused training for young people aged 16 and over.

We provide City & Guilds Beauty Therapy qualifications from Level 1 through to Level 3, giving learners the opportunity to develop recognised vocational qualifications and practical skills within a professional beauty environment.

Our academy is particularly committed to supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including learners with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). We understand that traditional college environments do not always meet the needs of every learner, and we offer a smaller, more supportive setting where learners can develop their confidence, independence and vocational skills at their own pace.

Our Beauty Therapy Courses

We offer a progression route through City & Guilds Beauty Therapy qualifications, including:

City & Guilds Level 1 Beauty Therapy

An introductory programme designed to develop fundamental beauty therapy knowledge, practical skills and confidence.

City & Guilds Level 2 Beauty Therapy

A more advanced programme developing practical beauty therapy skills and knowledge across a range of treatments and professional practices.

City & Guilds Level 3 Beauty Therapy

An advanced qualification for learners wishing to further develop their technical skills and progress towards employment or further study within the beauty and wellbeing industry.

We also offer more treatment focused qualifications such as nails, massage and skin.

Where appropriate, learners can progress through the levels as they develop their skills, confidence and independence.

Student support

A Supportive Environment for SEND Learners

At Prestige Beauty Academy, we recognise that every learner is different. Our approach is designed to provide a calm, welcoming and supportive learning environment where learners feel safe, valued and able to succeed.

We work closely with schools, families and other professionals to understand each learner's individual needs and to ensure that appropriate support is put in place.

Our provision can include:

  • Small class sizes and small-group practical teaching
  • Individualised support and 1-to-1 assistance where required
  • A calm and supportive learning environment
  • Dedicated quiet and sensory breakout spaces
  • Additional support with communication, organisation and confidence
  • SEND-aware tutors and support staff
  • Adapted teaching and practical activities where appropriate
  • Support with developing independence and preparation for adulthood
  • Regular communication with schools, families and professionals
  • A personalised approach informed by the learner's EHCP and individual needs

We aim to ensure that a learner's additional needs are not a barrier to accessing a meaningful vocational education.

What makes us different?

Learning in a Real Working Salon

An important part of our provision is our working salon, which provides learners with the opportunity to experience a real-life professional environment.

Learners can develop their practical skills through realistic salon activities and, where appropriate, gain valuable experience working with members of the public. This helps learners understand professional expectations, develop communication and customer-service skills, build confidence and prepare for future employment.

We believe that vocational education should be about more than achieving a qualification. It should also help young people develop the confidence, independence, employability and life skills they need for their future.

Additional information

Working with EHCPs and Individual Needs

We welcome discussions with schools, Local Authorities, families and other professionals about whether Prestige Beauty Academy could be an appropriate placement for a learner.

For learners with an EHCP, we take time to understand the individual's needs, outcomes and required provision. We can work alongside the learner's existing support network to help ensure that their programme is meaningful, achievable and appropriate for their stage of development.

Our aim is to create a learning experience where young people can build on their strengths, develop practical skills and achieve recognised qualifications while receiving the support they need to succeed.

Preparing Learners for Their Future

Beauty therapy provides learners with a wide range of transferable skills, including communication, teamwork, organisation, time management, customer service, professionalism and independence.

Our programmes can support progression towards:

Employment | Further Education | Apprenticeships | Salon Work | Self-Employment | Further Beauty & Wellbeing Training

At Prestige Beauty Academy, we are passionate about providing young people with an alternative vocational pathway that combines recognised qualifications, practical learning and personalised support.
