About us

Welcome to St Anselm's Catholic School

We are very pleased that you are considering our school for your Sixth Form studies. As Sixth Form students, you will be very important to the life of the school...

You will be role models for younger students; you will have opportunities to contribute to the school and the wider community and, when you leave school, you will represent us in many parts of the world. Some of you, in the future, may well send your children to our school.

My colleagues and I want you to benefit from the whole life of the school; spiritually, academically and socially. It is a chance for you to grow into adulthood, prepare yourselves for your future and to enjoy your last two years of education in a positive learning environment.

You will be fully supported in your academic work and you will be given opportunities to extend your knowledge in other areas that you may not have considered before, such as leadership skills and mentoring other students. You will also have considerable opportunities to get involved in the many enrichment schemes that we offer.

Please read the information provided here carefully and if you require any further help or would like to visit us in person, please do not hesitate to contact the school directly.

With very best wishes,

Mr J Rowarth

Headteacher

Student support

We provide a varied and challenging curriculum for 1100 students aged 11-18 including 200 in the Sixth Form. We are designated a Specialist Resource Provision for students with Physical Disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

What makes us different?

St. Anselm's Catholic School is an 11-18 Comprehensive School located in Canterbury. St Anselm's serves the people of the Canterbury Deanery, including the towns of Ashford, Faversham, Whitstable, Herne Bay and Canterbury itself. Together, we work hard to create a faith-based community. It is because of this faith-based and supportive environment that we can enable students to achieve their academic potential. We welcome applications to our Sixth Form from all students and families who are in sympathy with our ethos.
