What makes us different?

As a UTC we are different to other schools. Students choose a specialism from Business, Computer Science or Engineering and then decide what additional subjects to take alongside this such as A-levels, IBCP, T-Levels and professional qualifications.

Our close business relationships ensure our students learn the skills required to succeed with regard to higher education, apprenticeships and employment. A UTC education will give each student a headstart on whichever career path they choose.

Our college feels more like a workplace than a school offering access to the very latest technology, all sharing a similar passion to succeed.

Fastrack Bus Information

The Leigh UTC is situated on the route of the regular and reliable Fastrack A bus service, with a bus stop outside The Leigh UTC building.

Technical Pathway

Joe studied the Technical Baccalaureate Computing pathway and got a degree apprenticeship in Digital and Technology Solutions with First Databank and Exeter University

Amy studied Engineering on the Technical Pathway and started on a Level 4 Degree Apprenticeship programme with one of our business partners

Jason completed his IBCP and was successful in gaining an apprenticeship with Berkeley Homes.

Beth also completed the professional pathway and is studying Product Design at Bournemouth University.

Rob studied the academic route which included Engineering, maths and physics and is studying a Masters in Maths at Leeds University, along with Callum who is studying Astrophysics . Similarly Bruce is at Exeter University studying for a Masters in Physics
