Welcome to Wilmington Academy
At Wilmington Academy Post 16, we pride ourselves on a personalised approach to learning; we ensure that the experience you will have is tailored to meet your needs and aspirations.

Vocational Courses:
Art, Food and Nutrition, Health & Social Care, Sport, Esports.
IB Diploma Courses:
Biology, Chemistry, Business Management, Economics, Design Technology, English Language and Literature, Film Studies, Global Politics, History, Mathematics: Applications and Interpretations, Psychology, Geography and Languages (Spanish) .
T-Level Courses:
Management and Administration, Health, Legal Services, Media, Broadcast and Production, Design & Development for Engineering & Manufacturing
International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme:
A choice of one vocational subject (linked to your career aspirations), two IB Diploma Courses and the IB Career-related Core Programme (language development, personal and professional skills, service learning, and a reflective project).
The Vocational Pathway:
A choice of three vocational subjects (BTECs).
The Blended Pathway:
A choice of two vocational subjects (BTECs) and one IB Diploma Course.
The Common Academic Pathway:
Pure IB courses all the way - your choice of three IB Diploma Courses.
T-Level Pathway:
This is a stand alone course and you do not need to pick any other subject

When making your application, it is important that you research your options carefully - discuss the subjects that you are interested in with teachers and your family. Find out which type of course would be the most suitable for you: the more examination-based subjects or the subjects which offer an equal balance between examination and coursework.
We ask applicants to submit an application form to us by December 2023 via Admissions+ https://wilmingtonacademy.applicaa.com/sixthform and we do accept applications throughout the academic year.

As part of our application process, all applicants will be invited to attend an interview where a member of the Post 16 team we will discuss your strengths and help you to make the right choices. Final interviews with members of our team will take place following receipt of your GCSE results on Thursday 22nd August 2024.
