Post -16 Phase Transfer
Young People in Kent
For those with children who have an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP), there is a separate process called the Phase Transfer. Emails have been sent to Parent/Carers of Year 11s asking for their parental preference of school or college by 7th November 2025. Further information is available here.
If a mainstream college or sixth form is selected, you will be sent further information about how to apply for a specific course via Kent Choices. It is recommended that you do this as soon as possible for your best chance at securing your chosen subject/s. As well as the above, it has lots of helpful support to live independently and getting involved in your local community.
