You have a passion for physics and want to take your GCSE knowledge further. You want to know more about particles and explore how physics is used in the real world.

Course Details

The A-Level Physics course is designed to build on your GCSE work and explore new areas. Physicists explore the fundamental nature of almost everything we know of. They probe the furthest reaches of the earth to study the smallest pieces of matter. Join them to enter a world deep beneath the surface of normal human experience.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

AS Level: 2 papers x 90 minutes, 80 marks each

A-Level: Paper 1: 105 minutes, 90 marks

A-Level: Paper 2: 105 minutes, 90 marks

A-Level: Paper 3: 150 minutes, 120 marks


Entry requirements

GENERIC A LEVEL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: 5 GCSE'S 4-9, including English Language

SUBJECT SPECIFIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: GCSE Combined Science grade 6-6 or GCSE Physics grade 6. GCSE Maths grade 6 or above. GCSE English grade 5 or above.
