Course Summary
Politics is the study of democracy, power and ideas. You will gain an understanding of how democratic the UK really is, what the Prime Minister can and cannot do, and how similar and different the political parties really are. People study politics because they want to be an active citizen in society, or to improve their critical thinking skills and ability to construct arguments. Politics students tend to go on to study History, Politics, Journalism or Law at university.
