Course Summary
The one-year Level 3 Administration for Legal & Professional Services programme is suitable for learners aged 17+ (Year 12 or 13 leavers). We will train you in the skills, knowledge and behaviours you need to become an efficient administrator and provide support in the Legal and Professional Services industries.
At the end of the one-year Level 3 programme, you will be able to apply for full-time administrative employment through our close relationships with legal and professional services employers in London.
Course Details
Our programme is divided into three distinct areas being Administration, Technical and Legal and within those areas you will learn the following:
SKILLS
Expertise in key administrative tasks such as document management, organising business travel, logistical itineraries and managing expenses, undertaking research and drafting emails, project management and event planning, inbox and calendar management, meeting documentation
Advanced technical skills in the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook for the production of professional documents and correspondence, and videoconferencing platforms such as Teams and Zoom
Proofreading of professional documents and development of literacy skills
KNOWLEDGE
Learning how administrative services provide support to an organisation and contribute to workflow
Awareness of key regulation and policies in the workplace, legal terminology and the UK legal and political system
Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Introduction to aspects of employment law, recruitment and selection in business and health and safety in the workplace
BEHAVIOURS
Preparation for the professional workplace by the development of transferable skills such as dealing with conflicting workloads when working under pressure, organisational skills to prioritise and meet deadlines, building client relationships, team dynamics and collaboration, emotional intelligence in challenging situations, and commitment to personal development and improvement
How will it be delivered and assessed?
End Point Assignments for each NCFE unit.
Timed Exams for NKC Certificates in Technical Skills, Proofreading and Law.
Entry requirements
5 x GCSEs at Grades 9-4 which must include English Language.
Minimum of Grade 3 in GCSE Mathematics.
