Course Summary

The Sociology course is the systematic study of human social life, groups, and societies, focusing on contemporary UK society within a global context.

A-Level Sociology equips students with a diverse range of highly valued transferable skills that are actively sought by both higher education institutions (critical thinking and analysis, research skills, argument formation and understanding complex ideas) and employers (communication skills, cultural awareness and empathy, problem-solving, teamwork and interpersonal skills and data literacy). These skills go beyond subject-specific knowledge, fostering personal growth and professional readiness.
