Athletics Academy

• Level 2 Pathway - For students who still need to resit their Mathematics and English Language GCSE's to gain a Grade 4 alongside Level 2 BTECs.
  
• Level 3 Vocational - For students who have gained a grade 4 in their Mathematics and English Language OR English Literature.
• IBCP Programme - For students gaining 5 GCSE's at Grade 4 and above including Mathematics and English Language.
• Sports Academies (Basketball/Football) - For students wishing to pursue Sport professionally alongside their studies. The academy must be taken in addition to one of the other three pathways on offer.

Number of subjects required:

• Level 3 Pathway - Please select three Level 3 courses (BTEC or RSL)
• IBCP Pathway - Please select two IB Diploma courses and two Level 3 Vocational courses (BTEC or RSL)

A two year professional, structured programme of coaching, strength and conditioning, sport science and video analysis to allow players to develop at an elite level.

The Academy will provide the students with a professional, structured programme of coaching, strength and conditioning and sport science to bridge the gap between school and university and to start the process two years earlier to allow the athletes to develop to an elite level. Over the two years, we will aim to teach our athletes to understand the reasons behind the training and benefits it has for them to succeed long term, supporting their next steps after the academy whether that is in the UK or America.
