Entry Requirements - Admissions into LAE6 are based on candidates successfully meeting our entry requirements of at least five good passes in GCSE subjects (grade 4 or above), including at least a grade 4 in Maths and English, and grade 6 or better in the subjects they wish to study.

Human Lifespan and Development

Human Biology and Health

Principles of Health & Social Care Practice

Students have a choice from four optional units:

Health, Social Policy and Wellbeing

Promoting Health Education

Safe Environments in Health and Social Care

Health Science


How will it be delivered and assessed?

Two externally assessed units and two internally assessed units.

Students must be able to apply knowledge to complex situations and be able to adapt or modify their way of thinking to meet the individual circumstances and needs. A solution focused approach to challenges is essential, as is the ability to think logically.
