The BTEC Extended Certificate will start of by allowing students to explore the business world; whereby learners will study the purposes of different businesses, their structure, the effect of the external environment, and how they need to be dynamic and innovative to survive. The foundations of this will permit students to develop their business knowledge further through both internally and externally assessed units. A one-week work experience is a compulsory element of this course.

Unit 1: Exploring Business (25%)

Unit 2: Developing a Marketing Campaign (25%)

Unit 3: Personal and Business Finance (33.3%)

Unit 27: Work Experience in Business (16.67%)

The BTEC Extended Certificate in Business provides transferable knowledge and skills that prepare learners for progression to university or the workplace. Business careers exist in areas such as finance, accounting, human resources and marketing.
