Course Summary
The BTEC Extended Certificate will start of by allowing students to explore anatomy and physiology of the body; whereby learners will study the structure and function of the skeletal, muscular, respiratory, cardiovascular and energy system and how these are impacted by exercise. This will lead onto fitness training and programming, where student will develop an understanding of designing training programmes for a range of clients to improve health and fitness. Learners will then focus on professional development in the sports industry.

Unit 2: Fitness Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Well-being (33.3%)
Unit 3: Professional Development in the Sports Industry (16.67%)
Unit 7: Practical Sports Performance (16.67%)
