BTEC Medical Science (AAQ) is a practical, career-focused qualification designed for students interested in the science behind health, disease, and medical care. Grade 9-4 in at least 5 GCSEs including English, Maths and a 4-4 in Combined Science or Grade 9-4 in separate GCSE Biology and either separate GCSE Chemistry or separate GCSE Physics.

BTEC Medical Science (AAQ) provides excellent preparation for a wide range of future pathways. Many students progress to university courses in nursing, medicine, biomedical science, public health, pharmacology and other healthcare disciplines. The qualification also supports progression into clinical laboratory roles, research positions and healthcare apprenticeships.
