Application Details: At Hartsdown Academy we run the International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme https://www.ibo.org/programmes/career-related-programme/ . Prospective students need to choose 1 Vocational Course (BTEC or OCR) and 2 IB Diploma Courses.
Entry Requirements: 5 x Grade 4-9 including Maths & English. A good attendance and behaviour record is also essential.

Course Summary
This is a new and exciting course which will enable students to study the principles and applications of medical science and applied science through a range of units on topics such as human anatomy and physiology, infectious diseases and their treatments, health issues and contemporary issues in science as well as separate biology, chemistry and physics units. Throughout the course you will develop practical and research skills.
You will be given the opportunity to understand how this course leads to further education courses and careers through visits to CCCU, University of Kent and the Medway School of Pharmacy. As well as the opportunity to gain insights and experience from members of our wider community.
This qualification is worth two A levels, a career subject, as part of the IBCP course.
There are both mandatory and optional units so that we can tailor the course to student interests.
