Studying Sport, Exercise and Science will:

• Provide students with a strong foundation in the scientific principles and practices of sport and exercise science.
• Prepare students for higher education, particularly undergraduate courses requiring knowledge of sports science.
• Equip students with applied skills and knowledge relevant to careers in the sport, health, and fitness sectors.

This vocational qualification in Sport and Exercise Science typically includes mandatory units covering areas such as:

• Anatomy and Physiology: Understanding the structure and function of the human body in relation to sport and exercise.
• Exercise Physiology: Studying how the body responds and adapts to physical activity.
• Biomechanics: Analyzing the mechanics of human movement.
• Sports Psychology: Exploring the mental aspects of sports performance.
• Nutrition for Sport and Exercise: Understanding the role of nutrition in athletic performance and overall health.
• Research Methods: Developing skills in scientific inquiry and data analysis.
