Application Instructions
- Level 2 Pathway - For students who still need to resit their Mathematics and English Language GCSE's to gain a Grade 4 alongside Level 2 BTECs.
- Level 3 Vocational - For students who have gained a grade 4 in their Mathematics and English Language OR English Literature.
- IBCP Programme - For students gaining 5 GCSE's at Grade 4 and above including Mathematics and English Language.
- Sports Academies (Basketball/Football) - For students wishing to pursue Sport professionally alongside their studies. The academy must be taken in addition to one of the other three pathways on offer.
Number of subjects required:
- Level 3 Pathway - Please select three Level 3 courses (BTEC or RSL)
- IBCP Pathway - Please select two IB Diploma courses and two Level 3 Vocational courses (BTEC or RSL)

Course Summary
National Extended Certificate - Equivalent to 1 A Level
The Performing Arts is a creative subject which develops skills and techniques used in live performances. As part of the course students are expected to take part in a large scale school production as well as smaller class assessments.

Unit 1 - Investigating Practitioner’s Work
Unit 2 - Developing Skills for Live Performance
Unit 3 - Group Performance Workshop
Unit 19 - Acting Styles
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Units 1 & 3 are assessed externally through exams.
Units 2 & 19 are assessed internally and externally moderated.
Entry requirements
You must have at least:
4 in GCSE English Language
4 in GCSE Mathematics
Demonstration of performance ability.
Preferred but not essential:
Level 2 qualification in Drama
