Pathways Offered:
  • Level 2 Pathway - For students who still need to resit their Mathematics and English Language GCSE's to gain a Grade 4 alongside Level 2 BTECs.
  • Level 3 Vocational - For students who have gained a grade 4 in their Mathematics and English Language OR English Literature.
  • IBCP Programme - For students gaining 5 GCSE's at Grade 4 and above including Mathematics and English Language.
  • Sports Academies (Basketball/Football) - For students wishing to pursue Sport professionally alongside their studies. The academy must be taken in addition to one of the other three pathways on offer.

Number of subjects required:

  • Level 3 Pathway - Please select three Level 3 courses (BTEC or RSL)
  • IBCP Pathway - Please select two IB Diploma courses and two Level 3 Vocational courses (BTEC or RSL)

Course Details

Units Studied:

Unit 1 – The World of Travel and Tourism

Unit 2 – Global Destinations

Unit 3 – Principles of Marketing in Travel and Tourism

Unit 9 – Visitor Attractions


How will it be delivered and assessed?

Unit 1 is assessed externally through an exam

Unit 2, 3 & 9 are coursework based which are internally assessed and externally moderated


Entry requirements

Must have:

- 4 in GCSE English Language

- 4 in GCSE Mathematics

Preferred but not essential:

- 4 in GCSE Geography
