Business A Level [Y1]

Business A-Level is an exciting course that will give you a thorough understanding of the business environment. You will develop your understanding of business functions such as marketing, human resources, strategy and analysis while learning key interpersonal skills that all successful entrepreneurs and business professionals have.

Join us for this two-year A-Level, where you will discover more about the all-encompassing world of business. Over the duration of the course you will build on your existing knowledge and interest for business, developing your understanding of business functions such as marketing, human resources, strategy and analysis. You'll learn more about entrepreneurialism, develop key managerial skills, and sharpen your ability to assess trends and solve problems. You will also learn how to set business goals, gain a good overview of the internal workings of an organisation, and analyse the external factors that affect a company�s ability to meet objectives and strategies.

You will be assessed entirely through exams. Case studies with differentiated questions will be used to test your understanding of key business theories.

Our general entry criteria to study 3 A-Levels is: Minimum five GCSEs grade 4-9 with English Language or Maths at grade 5. For a mixed Level 3 programme the criteria are: Minimum five GCSEs grade 4-9 with English Language or Maths at grade 4. Subject specific entry criteria apply: A GCSE grade 4 in English Language and grade 4 in Maths

Business is a well-respected A-Level that can lead to further study at university firstly at undergraduate level and then progressing to a Master�s degree. There are a number of career opportunities available to you after studying this qualification, for instance you may work in a Management consultancy, move into advertising, work as a retail consultant, work in Public Relations, or accountancy.
