Course Summary
Students will cover a variety of untis in Foundation in Chemistry: quantitative chemistry; periodic table and energy; organic chemistry; physical chemistry; transition elements; and analysis of compounds.

Students are also expected to carry out the core practical experiments that are identified in the content.
Entry requirements
Overall requirement for Post 16:
Five GCSEs at 9-4 (English and mathematics grade 5).
Max 2 BTECs at merit or above
Subject specific requirements:
GCSE Combined science : Minimum 56
Separate GCSE science: Minimum grade 6 in chemistry and 5 in biology or physics
Grade 5 in mathematics
