Please only add one course or T Level per application, except for A Levels at EKC Canterbury College, where up to 4 A Level courses can be added per application. At your interview, you and the tutors can discuss the best level and courses in order for you to progress.
Course Summary
On this highly practical course, learn the skills and knowledge needed to be a qualified hairdresser, all whilst working in our realistic salon environment.
Course Details
You will learn several areas which cover learn the basics of the hair industry, as well as the specialist knowledge needed to take your career in hairdressing to the next level.
Our curriculum covers areas including:
- Creative cutting
- Colour correction
- Client consultation
- Creative hairstyling
- Working with long hair
- Organising promotional activities
In our industry standard salons, these skills are put into practice on real clients, whilst you learn from experts in the field.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Assessment will take place through practical observations in our salons, as well as with written work and online tests. You will also create a portfolio of evidence to display your achievement.
Your next steps...
After this Level 3, you will be ready to start working as a Hairdresser, either in a salon or similar environment or through self-employed work.
You can also go onto further study in this area, such as a specialised apprenticeship, a Level 4 course, or at university to hone your skills.
