The Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Children?s Learning and Development (Early Years Educator) is for those who want to work with children in Early Years settings. It gives you the opportunity to demonstrate competence as an Early Years Educator, Childminder or Nursery Nurse, develop knowledge and skills related to the specified job roles in early years education and achieve a nationally-recognised Level 3 qualification. You'll study a range of units and topics such as Plan and Provide Effective Teaching and Learning in Early Years Settings, Understanding How to Promote Play, Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and Partnership Working in Early Years. You will complete written work as well as practical tasks in your chosen placement. You will be observed throught the year by an assessor as well as completing professional discussions and collecting witness statements to build a portfolio of evidence. On successful completion you will gain The Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Children?s Learning and Development (Early Years Educator). You will need to purchase the MidKent College Childcare Deparmtent polo top which can be worn with black trousers or black jeans.This is available through our uniform partners.

5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and maths
