Course Summary
Completed your Level 2 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance or have prior experience in the industry?
This Level 3 Diploma covers all aspects of light vehicle servicing, focusing on the efficient diagnosis of key components to industry standards.
You will discover how complex systems within today’s vehicles function and integrate with one another to operate to the manufacturer’s specifications.
Course Details
- Health and safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment
- Skills in supporting job roles in the automotive work environment
- Knowledge of isolating and re-energising high-voltage (HV) systems in electric vehicles
- Diagnosing and rectifying light vehicle engine faults
- Diagnosing and rectifying light vehicle chassis system faults
- Diagnosing and rectifying light vehicle transmission and driveline faults
- Diagnosing and rectifying light vehicle auxiliary electrical faults
- Work experience
How will it be delivered and assessed?
You will be assessed through online exams, observed practical tasks and written coursework assessments.
Entry requirements
4 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English and Maths, OR a Level 2 qualification in a related subject, plus English and Maths at Grade 4 or above.
Equipment required
