If you have ever wondered what is happening to the world around us and what you can do to help shape the future, then Geography is for you. We are living in an ever changing world facing many challenges. Our aim is to prepare students to lead and manage this change successfully for the future.

Students develop and understanding of the dynamic interrelationships between people, places, spaces and the environment at different scales, develop a critical awareness and consider complex thinking in the context of the nexus of geographic issues.

This course consists of 80% examination and 20% coursework.

Grade 6 in an Humanities GCSE, Grade 4 in both English and Maths GCSEs, and at least 2 other qualifications at grade 4 or above.

Many university degree courses to choose from and higher level apprenticeships are linked to A level Geography. It is a very employable subject and it links well with most of the other post 16 options at Leigh Academy Tonbridge. Below are some of the jobs that people with qualifications in this subject gain employment in.
