Course Summary

Individual students have different needs, aspirations, interests and abilities. For this reason there are two different DP subjects in mathematics, Mathematics: analysis and approaches and Mathematics: applications and interpretation. Each course is designed to meet the needs of a particular group of students. Both courses are offered at SL and HL.

Course Details

The Mathematics Analysis and Interpretations course is an excellent opportunity for students looking to deepen their appreciation of maths and see how it links into the real world. This course focuses on applying mathematical concepts to model situations used to solve problems around the world.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

This course consists of 80% examination and 20% coursework.

Entry requirements

Grade 7 (Grade 8+ recommended) in Maths GCSE, Grade 4 in English GCSE, and at least 3 other qualifications at grade 4 or above.
