Course Summary

Drama at Key Stage 5 follows in succession from the Eduqas GCSE. Studying under the same exam board, students in Years 12 and 13 explore and create theatre through the delivery of Eduqas’s A-Level in Drama and Theatre.

Course Details

Throughout the course, students will learn about influential theatre practitioners, gain considerable performance and design experience and develop reflective and analytical skills through the process of reviewing live and recorded theatre.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

There are three performance exams which consist of the creation, development and realisation of a full performance, with subsequent written portfolios alongside practical work and a final written exam. Candidates have the choice to complete the course as either a theatre performer or designer candidate (lighting, set, costume, hair and make-up and sound).

Entry requirements

4-5 GCSEs at 4 / C or above in different subjects including English and Mathematics.
