This Engineering course will potentially prepare students for employment in the engineering sector or access to higher education courses. The course will combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications and project work.

Mandatory units will include Mechanical principles and applications, Electrical and electronic principles, Mathematics, Communication, an Engineering project and Health and Safety. Optional units may include Engineering drawing, Computer Numerical Control, Computer aided design and Computer aided manufacture.

The course will combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications and project work. It will be continuously assessed through written assignments, projects and formal tests.

5 grades in Maths and Science at GCSE will be expected and 5 grade in design and technology is desirable.
