Course Summary

The BTEC qualifications have been developed in the engineering sector to give full-time learners the opportunity to enter employment in the mechanical/electrical engineering sector or to progress to higher qualifications with further study in other Engineering disciplines. The units will give learners the opportunity to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life

Course Details

e. Learners gain relevant skills and knowledge from studying a range of content focused on electrical, electronic, design and mechanical disciplines. The main reasons why:

How will it be delivered and assessed?

This qualification is aimed at learners preparing for future roles in the engineering sector such as higher level apprenticeships or progression to an engineering degree course. It has been designed as part of a two year programme of study and is normally taken in conjunction with two or more qualifications at level 3. It is aimed at giving learners a wider view of the sector including elements of mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineering.
