Course Summary
This course is designed to provide high quality, employment-related learning with a focus on the engineering sector. Students considering this course should have an interest in going into Engineering as a career. During the course, you will develop your subject knowledge and employability skills, as well as practical skills related to Engineering.
Course Details
You will study some of the many different aspects of Engineering and spend time in the workshop on practical activities, as well as higher tier GCSE Physics and GCSE Mathematics. This course will provide you with a good introduction to Engineering and the various applications and pathways you may follow in the future.
You will also develop your team working, time management and organisational skills, which will better equip you for further study or the workplace.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
You will be assessed on your skills during the course and develop a portfolio evidencing what you have achieved. You will study GCSE Maths and GCSE Physics which are essential components of any engineering course.
Entry requirements
A range of 4/3 grades at GCSE.
