Entry Requirements:

Education Health Care Plan - Aged 16-19

Working at Entry Level or GCSE Level

Attendance in Y11 is at least 90% or above

Complex additional needs including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) Speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and medical needs

How to Apply: Consultation through Medway SEN.

Parents and Learners should add Rivermead Post 16 as their choice during their Annual Review.


Course Summary

EPR16 is a supportive post-16 programme tailored for learners with SEND, focusing on developing essential life and employability skills in a nurturing environment.

The curriculum includes Functional Skills in Maths and English, alongside practical subjects such as finance and life skills, including cooking. Learners build confidence and independence through employability and social skills training, as well as PSHE and RSE sessions.

The programme also offers enriching community-based activities such as first aid, gardening, and orienteering, complemented by regular Physical Education. EPR16 empowers learners to thrive both personally and professionally, preparing them for adulthood with a well-rounded, hands-on approach.
