It enables us to support, challenge or even create new ideas and perspectives and acts as a bridge across time, culture and class - connecting us all to the wider human experience.
English Language equips students with a huge range of imperative workplace skills:
• Clarity and concision of written and spoken communication
• The ability to confidently modify and structure key forms of writing such as letters, speeches etc.
• The ability to decode and comprehend unfamiliar texts and vocabulary
• An awareness of language manipulation and persuasion
English Language is a key requirement for a huge range of career pathways who may not consider you without passing an English Language Course. It is ideal for many employers to gauge your aptitude in written and spoken communication before they ever meet you. Many of the practical skills taught are ideal for working life.
