Level 3 - 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or higher including English and Mathematics.

Transition - 5 GCSEs at grade 3 or higher. Either English or Mathematics must be at a grade 4.

Why study this subject?

This course is a bit different to a traditional Art GCSE as it has more practical and vocational applications and could be useful for students who have a creative flair and are interested in pursuing careers in design or the world of media.

Course Details

Units that will be studied

This course is about visual communication; communicating ideas, information, brand identities and styles via imagery and text. As part of the course, you might produce magazine cover artwork and text, design an identity for a product, present information for an event, and create a title sequence for a television programme. To do this you will need to create images using your traditional art skills, photography and digital techniques.
