Health and Social care studies are a broad investigation of various aspects of the health and social care sector. Health and Social Care is assessed by a combination of internally and externally assessed units.

Topics covered could include:

Human Lifespan and Development

Human Biology and Health

Principles of Health and Social Care Practice

Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs

Physiological Disorders and their Care

Health and Social Care is assessed by a combination of internally and externally assessed units.

In order to attend Meopham Sixth Form the minimum entry requirement is 5 level 4 GCSEs, including English and Maths.

A GCSE/BTEC Level 2 in Health & Social Care is not required and students will not be at a disadvantage if they do not hold a previous Health & Social Care qualification.

You could progress onto higher education and careers such as Social Work, Nursing, Care Management, Occupational Therapy and many other related professions.
