Course Summary

You will be studying towards the equivalent of two A-Levels over a period of two years. It will require you to complete work experience, in a care setting of your choice, throughout term-time. This will give you the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in Health and Social Care settings, which will prepare you for full-time employment or higher education. This course is equivalent to A-levels and you will gain UCAS points to allow you to apply to university.

Course Details

You will cover a wide range of health and social care topics, which will include the human lifespan development, working in health and social care, anatomy and physiology, meeting individual support needs, promoting public health and many more.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed in a number of ways. It will require you to sit three exams over the two years, complete a practical task and complete a number of pieces of coursework.

Entry requirements

5 GCSE grades at 4 or above, including English.
