Course Summary
During this one-year course, you will learn the skills, knowledge and behaviours you need to work in the Health and Social Care sector. You will learn more about equality and diversity, human growth and development, and the safeguarding of individuals.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
In this qualification, units are assessed through internal assessment draws on the learning throughout. Learners must complete the Placement Experience Assessment Workbook which will serve as a record of work placement attendance and completion, and a portfolio of assessment evidence.
Entry requirements
Minimum four grade 3-9/D-A* at GCSE including English and maths, or successful completion of the Level 1 qualification. A clear DBS check will also be required.

This qualification does not provide a licence to practise, but may support progression into a range of job roles in the health and social care sector, including:

� care support workers in domiciliary services, supported living or day services
� community-based support workers.
