Application Instructions
- Level 2 Pathway - For students who still need to resit their Mathematics and English Language GCSE's to gain a Grade 4 alongside Level 2 BTECs.
- Level 3 Vocational - For students who have gained a grade 4 in their Mathematics and English Language OR English Literature.
- IBCP Programme - For students gaining 5 GCSE's at Grade 4 and above including Mathematics and English Language.
- Sports Academies (Basketball/Football) - For students wishing to pursue Sport professionally alongside their studies. The academy must be taken in addition to one of the other three pathways on offer.
Number of subjects required:
- Level 3 Pathway - Please select three Level 3 courses (BTEC or RSL)
- IBCP Pathway - Please select two IB Diploma courses and two Level 3 Vocational courses (BTEC or RSL)

Course Summary
International Baccalaureate Business Management
The IB Diploma Programme Business Management course is designed to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of business management theories, as well as their ability to apply a range of tools and techniques. Students learn to analyse, discuss and evaluate business activities at local, national and international levels. The course covers a range of organisations from all sectors, as well as the socio-cultural and economic contexts in which those organisations operate.
As with all IB programmes, students will also develop the transferable skills outlined in the Learner Profile as well as the subject specific knowledge.

The course covers the following units which are taught over the 2 years…
Unit 1: Business organization and environment
Unit 2: Human resource management
Unit 3: Finance and accounts
Unit 4: Marketing
Unit 5: Operations management
As with all IB programmes, students will also develop the transferable skills outlined in the Learner Profile as well as the subject specific knowledge.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
External assessment: 75% (2 papers)
Internal assessment: 25%
Entry requirements
Grade 4+ in 5 GSCEs including English Language, and Maths
