Entry Requirements - Admissions into LAE6 are based on candidates successfully meeting our entry requirements of at least five good passes in GCSE subjects (grade 4 or above), including at least a grade 4 in Maths and English, and grade 6 or better in the subjects they wish to study.

Course Summary
Studying IB History provides students with a deep understanding of significant historical events and processes that have shaped the world. The course encourages critical thinking, analysis of historical evidence, and understanding multiple perspectives. Internal Assessment:
Historical Investigation: An individual research project on a topic of the student's choice.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Paper 1: Source-based paper on prescribed subjects (1 hour, 20% of SL grade)
Paper 2: Essay paper on world history topics (1.5 hours, 45% of SL grade)
Paper 3: Essay paper on regional topics (HL only, 2.5 hours, 35% of HL grade)
Internal Assessment: Historical Investigation (25% of SL grade; 20% of HL grade)
Successful IB History students are inquisitive, enjoy reading and researching, and are able to critically evaluate sources. They should be comfortable discussing their ideas and be open to considering different viewpoints.
Entry requirements
Admissions into EA6 are based on candidates successfully meeting our entry requirements of at least 5 good passes in GCSE subjects (grade 4 or above).
