Please note an Extended Certificate is the equivalent of one A-Level, a Foundation Diploma one and half an A-Level and Diploma the equivalent of two A-Levels. Students should apply for one Diploma and one Extended Certificate or three Extended Certificate subjects.
Course Summary
BTEC Digital Film and Video Production is an educational program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the world of television and film. This course covers various aspects, including cinematography, editing, sound design, scriptwriting, and production management. Students gain practical experience and often work on real projects, preparing them for careers in the entertainment industry. BTEC TV and Film Production focuses on both the creative and technical aspects of filmmaking, offering a well-rounded foundation for aspiring filmmakers and media professionals.

- Multi Camera Techniques
As part of our Personal Development programme all students complete a five day work experience placement. Media students have been placed with a range of business workplaces in the local area and London including: local marketing agencies, digital design agencies and social media enterprises.
We have a number of extra-curricular opportunities. Media students visit Aspirational Digital and Pinewood Studios as well as visiting Warner Brother Studios The Making of Harry Potter.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
The course is assessed in a combination of examination, coursework and practical assessment.
Entry requirements
Five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above and should include a Grade 4 in English and Maths.
