Prepare for a career in the automotive industry as either a technician or associated motor industry employment.

You will discover how to meet health and safety requirements in the workshop and learn how to:

• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance • Remove and replace units and components relating to engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes and electrical and electronic systems

You will be assessed by practical and written tasks and externally set examinations. Supported work experience is arranged with your tutor.

You will need four GCSEs at Grades D/3 or above, including English and Maths.

We will invite you to attend an interview where you will need to show your interest in the subject and the potential to succeed.

Progress to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Motor Vehicle Technology (Motorsports) or the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering, an Intermediate Apprenticeship or find work as a technician.
