Entry requirements
You will be required to attend an interview/audition where you will be required to perform a short piece (2 mins approx) to showcase your singing. You should aim to showcase versatility as you will be required to sing in various styles and genres on the course. Your audition cannot be acapella (solo) as we need to assess your tuning. Bring any backing music you need with you (mp3 etc). Your interview will require you to outline your background in the subject and any relevant previous experience or activities. You will also be asked to create a supporting statement of at least 500 words prior to your interview.
Minimum of four GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English and preferably maths and one creative subject. Or an equivalent Level 1 Diploma in Music at merit or above. You will need a positive school report/recommendation/reference from your school/tutor. (Applicants who are home schooled, with no formal qualifications, will be required to take college internal assessments; in addition to the below, to determine their suitability for the demands of the course)."
