Entry Requirements - A minimum of six separately identifiable GCSE subjects at grade 6 or above OR an average of grade 6 in the best six GCSE subjects achieved
At least a grade 5 in both English and Mathematics For most subjects at A Level, a grade 6 in the subject at GCSE is required. However, for A Level Mathematics a grade 7 is required, and for Further Mathematics a grade 8 is necessary

Course Summary
With a clear emphasis on music technology, without the emphasis on music theory β Edexcel have retained the practical and theoretical elements of music technology which motivate students more and reduced the emphasis on music theory which we know some students donβt enjoy as much.
Course Details
Equipping students with skills for higher education and beyond β The content of this course is designed to develop a broad range of skills including project management, appraising and analysis, creativity and imagination. Students will be able to progress to undergraduate study in Music Technology, Sound Production, Sound Engineering and many other courses requiring a similar skill set.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Component 1: Recording 20%
Component 2: Tech based composition 20%
Component 3: Listening and Analysing - Exam 25%
Component 4: Producing & Analysing - Exam 35%
Entry requirements
GCSE grade 6 or higher in Music or equivalent subject.

This course could lead you unto university Music Technology and Production courses, leading to roles in the music industry such as; Recording engineer, Record producer, live sound engineer, composer, A and R, record companies, sound production for TV and Film, mixing engineer, mastering engineer.
