Entry Requirements: - Admission to Towers Sixth Form to study A levels or BTEC equivalent will be awarded on the basis of GCSE performance. Each subject has its own entry requirements.

Students looking to take this 2-year course are usually people who are creative, colourful of mind and nature, with the fluctuation in the economy the hospitality industry has shown great resilience in its business. A career within hospitality can lead to several different and interesting jobs like pubs, restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes, theatres, private chef to the rich and famous, hotels, cruise liners, cross channel boats and the armed forces.

Students have a portfolio set out in units and each unit has its own criteria to be achieved; this is covered with a minimum of four assessments (practical tasks). There is also an end of unit assessment to be completed comprising knowledge questions of which they must obtain at least 75%. This is a ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ course.

Each student will also have to complete work experience within hospitality. This will ensure that their choice of career is the right one, and often leads to paid work during their training.
