You will be assessed on your research, development and experimentation and final outcomes and you will be encouraged to develop your work and professional practice through evaluation and self-reflection. . Project Proposal . Production Portfolio . Production Project . Observation Assessment will be against the specified marking criteria. Unit 1 and 2 are graded Pass/Fail units that are internally assessed. Unit 3 is graded Pass, Merit, Distinction, Fail and is internally assessed and externally moderated. This unit will determine the overall grade for the overall L4 Professional Diploma Qualification.

This qualification is designed for students who have ambitions to develop their own freelance production brand and to seek and build an active client base. It can be used as a starting point for students who have identified independent projects that they wish to work on, and to enable them to explore the basis of entrepreneurial activity. This will involve the exploration of essential business and management skills in order to identify and respond to associated opportunities in the creative sector. You will be expected to plan and produce a range of immersive projects, which could include social media marketing, podcasts, promotional videos and short films. The type of projects you will work on will be dependent on the direction you intend to take as a creative entrepreneur, whereby a significant proportion of your time will be devoted to actual vocational placement. As a minimum you should hold a Level 3 qualification in a creative subject or have equivalent, relevant experience. You should also arrive prepared with a career plan and the ability to work self-directed. Our Education Programme includes opportunities for you to develop your English and maths skills as required, depending on your GCSE results upon entry.

Applicants must be 18 years or older and have achieved a Level 3 Extended Diploma in the Creative Industries with at least merit grade, or a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Media, A-Levels (C and above, including Media). Ideally GCSE English and Maths at minimum Grade 4 or equivalent. You must also have: * A passion for Creative Media * A desire to work with Digital Media Products * A willingness to learn, experiment and develop your skills The motivation to work independently and in groups on practical projects. You will be required to attend an and interview where you will be required to bring a proposal. Details of what you will need to prepare will be sent to you once you have applied.
