Level 3 - 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or higher including English and Mathematics.
Transition - 5 GCSEs at grade 3 or higher. Either English or Mathematics must be at a grade 4.

If you are fascinated by the idea of understanding the brain, if you want to grasp the complexities of human behaviour then Psychology is the A Level for you.
Course Details
The course comprises of 11 units (8 mandatory and 3 optional):
• Unit 1: Social Influence
• Unit 2: Memory
• Unit 3: Attachment
• Unit 4: Psychopathology
• Unit 5: Approaches in psychology
• Unit 6: Biopsychology
• Unit 7: Research methods
• Unit 8: Issues and debates in psychology
• Option 1 from: Relationships; Gender or Cognition and development
• Option 2 from: Schizophrenia; Eating behaviour or Stress
• Option 3 from: Aggression; Forensic psychology or Addiction
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Paper 1 2hr written examination on units 1-4 33.3%
Paper 2 2hr written examination on units 5-7 33.3%
Paper 3 2hr written examination on unit 8 & optional units 33.3%
Entry requirements
GCSE English and a Science at grade 5 or above.
