Public Services First Certificate Level 2

If you are keen to join one of the Armed Forces or the Emergency Services, this course is for you. It will help develop your personal organisation, team working, leadership, discipline, and physical fitness.

The Uniformed Services course is intended to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills required for successful employment in Uniformed Services at an operational level, or for progressing to advanced study. The course includes five units, alongside completing the Duke of Edinburgh award. The course will also include completing a work placement within a relevant industry.

• Employment
• Health and Fitness
• Activities and Teamwork
• Sport and Recreation

You will also participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The course will be assessed by coursework. The coursework will take the form of written assignments, tutor observations, and photographic, audio, and video evidence. You will compile a portfolio of these assessments.

Progress to an advanced programme of study e.g. Level 3 in Uniformed Services (merit or distinction preferred). You could also enter an armed service at an operational level or other community-based services.
